Churrigueresque

A type of Baroque detailing found in Spanish architecture in the late 17th century. This detailing was started by Alonso Cano for the Churriga family in Salamanca and then spread through Spain. It is generally very elaborate stucco detailing found on door and window surrounds. See also muqarna, stucco
